Angels Landing: The Angels Landing trail in Zion National Park remains one of the most popular and perilous hiking trails in Utah. The trail has cliffs, chain sections, and steep switchbacks to reach this high-point in Zion Canyon. The trail has become much safer today because of a new permit system restricting the number of people to climb it per day. The trail consists of several sections: Walter’s Wiggles, Scout Lookout, and finally, to reach the top of Angels Landing over a ridge. The trail is safe to take under proper hiking shoes, in wet weather, and with sufficient rainfall to prevent this high point from becoming barren and rocky.
