Queen Hatshepsut Temple
The Queen Hatshepsut Temple is one of the most famous landmarks in Luxor, thanks to its dramatic setting and beautifully restored architecture. This temple, constructed by one of the earliest female pharaohs of Egypt, initially included gardens, lakes, and terraces, many of which have been discovered through excavation.
Situated close to the Valley of Queens, this temple is an example of perfection in terms of symmetry, statues, and hieroglyphics that describe scenes from the reign of Hatshepsut. It takes about an hour to see this temple, preferably in the early morning.
Boasting relatively low entry prices and connectivity from Luxor, it is a very essential point to visit during an Egyptian tour, regardless of whether one is traveling solo or is part of a guided tour.
