Medinat Habu is a New Kingdom mortuary temple built by Pharaoh Ramses III and dedicated to the god Amon; this is truly a distinctive place on Luxor’s West Bank, featuring remarkably preserved hieroglyphs, colorful reliefs, and massive gateways. Medinet Habu Temple is quieter compared to other nearby attractions, so it is good to combine it when exploring Hatshepsut Temple, the Valley of the Queens, and the Colossi of Memnon. Visitors can see its detailed carvings, historical battle scenes, and towering pillars while learning about one of Egypt's last great pharaohs.
