Maya Bay in Thailand boasts one of the country’s most beautiful beaches with snow-white sands, crystal-blue waters, and massive limestone cliffs standing tall in the background. After a conservation closure in August and September, the tourist attraction reopened for the public in October 2025, which makes it the best time to visit the destination.
It’s situated in Phi Phi Le, which can be accessed through ferry or speedboat from Phuket or Krabi. Most tourists visit this island by joining a day trip that covers many places, including Maya Bay.
Swimming has been prohibited, but walking, photographing, and admiring the views are now permitted. Since then, the designated walkway has moved vessels away from the shoreline, ensuring the safeguarding of marine organisms and coral.
Entrance fees also exist in the national park, and it is also very likely that Maya Bay will remain closed on a short-term basis, particularly during the rainy season. The best time to visit the island is between November and April, with good sunny weather and a calm sea.
Even when crowded, it remains to this day one of the most beautiful beaches of Thailand—and, of course, a must-visit when visiting the Phi Phi islands.
